The Datça Peninsula: A Spring Wine & Discovery Trail
Available exclusively in April and May, this Small Group Trial Tour heads west to explore the unspoilt Datça Peninsula. As a “guinea pig” guest, you’ll be part of a flexible pilot journey designed for curious travellers who value authentic places, fine local flavours, and unhurried discovery.
With our intimate group size, we adapt to the day’s rhythm—allowing us the freedom to linger over a vineyard lunch or wander quiet village streets. This tour is less about ticking off sights and entirely about immersing yourself in the landscapes, stories, and spirit of the Aegean spring.
The Itinerary
08:00 – 08:30 | Departure from Dalyan
We leave the river behind and begin the scenic journey toward the Datça Peninsula. As we travel west, the landscape shifts from lush valleys to rugged hills and sweeping views of the Aegean coastline.
09:15 | Breakfast Under the Eucalyptus Trees
Our first stop is the iconic village of Akçapınar. Beneath the shade of towering eucalyptus trees, we enjoy a generous village breakfast (included) featuring local honey, fresh farm eggs, olives, and warm bread.
11:45 | Knidos: Where Two Seas Meet
At the very tip of the peninsula lies Knidos, one of the most dramatic archaeological sites in Turkey. Here, the Aegean and Mediterranean seas collide. We explore the ancient harbour and Roman theatre (Entrance included) while discussing the city’s history as a center of ancient science and art.
14:00 | Palamutbükü: The Hidden Aegean Bay
On our return leg, we stop at Palamutbükü, one of the most peaceful bays in the region. Take a short walk along the waterfront, dip your toes in the crystal-clear water, or enjoy a quiet coffee by the sea.
15:30 | Old Datça: The Village of the Rebel Poet
We wander into Old Datça, famous for its narrow stone streets and bougainvillea-covered houses. This was the home of the legendary poet Can Yücel. We experience the “slow rhythm” of life that defines this artistic enclave.
17:00 | The Vineyard Table: Tasting & Late Lunch
The heart of the day. At a boutique Datça winery, we sit down for a guided wine tasting and a slow-cooked regional lunch (included). Surrounded by vines, we pair local varietals with seasonal mezes and conversation.
18:45 | Datça Harbour & The Almond Story
A final stop at the main harbour to visit a traditional badem (almond) artisan shop. You’ll learn why Datça’s almonds are world-famous and have a moment for a gentle harbour stroll before we begin the journey home.
22:00 | Return to Dalyan
We arrive back in Dalyan, concluding a full day of exploration and Aegean hospitality.

Since this is a trial tour, the itinerary remains fluid. We might stay longer at the winery or find a hidden photo spot along the coast—we move at the pace of the group.
