Bonafide Turkey

Bonafide Turkey was a brand new tour for 2022 and, after listening to feedback from last year’s guests, we have made a few changes to make a great day even better!

On this tour you will experience a glimpse of how the Turks like to holiday: very chilled and relaxed whilst enjoying the beautiful surroundings as they are naturally. Our aim on this tour is to present all aspects in an untouched, “unadjusted for toursists” way so we will reveal some secret locations that are not on a usual European tourist route, with not a typical European tourist in sight. We will help you blend in, not that you will need much help as the Turks are extremely welcoming to foreigners. You never know, you may even pick up a few Turkish ways along the way and make a few new friends.

Katranci bay

We will pick you up from your accommodation between 9.30-10.00 am, then the Bonafide Turkey journey begins with a drive towards Fethiye, stopping off along the way at a breathtaking view point over Katranci bay to take photos, then we will head down to this beautiful bay. Here you can relax have a swim in the crystal waters and watch the world go by. Once we have enjoyed our relaxtion time we will enjoy a delicious lunch right here at the beach. After we have had lunch together and you have got to know your fellow guests we will move on to our next location.

Yesil Vadi (Green Valley)

The next part of our journey takes us on a scenic drive through local villages and beautiful forests up into the hills. After about an hour, we reach our hidden camp place and you will soon see exactly why we call it hidden. It is a little corner of paradise that is geographically perfect. The camp is located in the forest under the cooling shade of the trees – a perfect way to escape the blazing midday sun.

This quirky little place is a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and there is plenty to do there. You can relax on one of the floating kosks that sit over the beautiful river, maybe with a cool drink and a good book, or there are plenty of hidden places to enjoy the beauty of nature whilst strolling over the quaint wooden bridges. You may find you want to take a dip in the crystal clear lake that originates from the waterfall or (if you’re brave enough!) jump from one of the several diving platforms.

The Valley Walk (Optional)

If you feel like stretching your legs, you can take a walk through the beautiful canyon along which the river flows. This is one of Turkey’s hidden gems and is completely unspoilt by tourism.
The walk is not mandatory its entirely optional , but you are likely to want to join us as it is an amazing experience! Please bring good shoes to wear in the water. Standard water shoes may not be good enough on this surface. Trainers or full on sandals would be the best choice.

Please note that this walk is not be suitable for guests with limited mobility, you will be walking the natural gorge  which in places has rough and rocky terrain and the ground can become slippery.

After taking wonderful pictures and creating beautiful memories, we will head back to the bus for the 40 minute drive back to Dalyan arriving back in resort around 6.00 pm.

Whatever you decide to do during the day, you will spend the time surrounded by  stunning scenery, be immersed in local life and can be sure of a warm friendly welcome by Turks everywhere. This is a perfect day that lives up to its name: Bonafide Turkey.
