Our Dalyan boat trip to Devils Bay gives you something different. Something truly special. An early morning start, with a delicious breakfast, aboard our newly renovated two deck boat whilst meandering along the Dalyan Delta, The Labyrinth Created by Reed Islets. An hour’s ride on the Aegean before reaching one of many secluded bays and coves around Devils Bay. Swim, sunbathe and eat a traditional Turkish BBQ lunch.

We will meet at our office at 08.30am  and take a short stroll to the boat. A traditional Turkish breakfast and welcome drink will be waiting for you. Whilst eating your breakfast the boat will meander along the scenic Dalyan Delta heading towards the sea. There is plenty of space with shaded and sunny areas for everyone. We will pass the magnificent Rock Tombs, Caunos and the beautiful reed beds, just a few of the stunning attractions that the town has to offer. Once out at sea we will cruise along the Aegean coastline. The ideal chance for sunbathing, relaxing and making new friends, before reaching one of many secluded, picturesque coves.

TIP: World’s leading travel channel Matador Network produced a short movie showcasing Turkey this summer. We are proud to say that they have chosen Volkan’s Adventures to show them the best of our area. You can watch the video and footages from the Devils Bays here.

Secluded Coves of Devils Bays

Our first stop will be at Bozburun Bay where you can swim in the beautiful clear waters. Bozburun Bay is renowned for the deep blue colour of the Aegean. We will then head onto Devils Bays with its multiple coves, turquoise and azure bays. There will be plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel, beach comb and sunbathe.

When we reach our third destination, a delicious traditional Turkish BBQ lunch cooked and prepared on board will be served, including chicken and meatballs, a huge range of fresh meze, salads and bread. Fresh fish and vegetarian options will be available on prior request and we can of course cater to all dietary requirements.

If the weather allows we will venture further afield after lunch, but if not we will bring you closer inland to Bacardi Bay. Here you can enjoy more swimming, relaxing and sunbathing for the rest of your day before we head back up the river, aiming to arrive back to Dalyan for approximately 4pm.

NB. Please note, as this tour goes out into the open sea we must be guided by our Captain should weather conditions prove inclement. We will make every effort to reach our destinations but the safety of our guests is of paramount importance to us. Should it become apparent as we head towards the open waters that our Captain is not comfortable with the sea conditions then your guide will discuss all alternative options available with the group.

At Volkans Adventures if you’re a guest on one of our Dalyan Boat Tours you can be assured not only of an enchanting and comfortable experience, but also a safe and secure one.

New for this year we have our own exclusive boats with 2 local and very experienced Captains who live and breathe the sea, they are both charismatic characters in their own right and who will ensure you have the best possible experience whilst on board.

Sari Zeybek boat is captained by Savaş, this boat was specially constructed by Savaş himself. He owns his own boatyard, Güven Yachting, right by the river opposite Dalyan Resort, which is also where his home is. Savaş is a local man and has spent his whole life sailing the river and sea, so his experience is second to none and you could not be in safer hands. Savaş also part owned a scuba diving school (Dalyan Dive Center) and has 16 years’ experience in diving. He also is a very experienced fisherman and his knowledge of the sea cannot be rivalled anywhere in Dalyan. All this knowledge about what goes on above and below sea level puts us in such a great position to give you the best ever adventure at sea. Savaş is very well travelled and speaks English and with his endearing character you will undoubtably find a newfound friend.

Sari Zeybek is a 14 metre long boat which is one of the longest in Dalyan and 4m wide which allows for plenty of room on board. The boat was originally a diving boat but is going through a full renovation this year and will be all sparkling and new ready for the 2022 season. This boat and its captain Savaş are one of only a handful of boats in Dalyan that has a special open sea licence which means he can take the boat anywhere on the open sea including international waters. It also means that if necessary he is licenced to take 16 passengers out to sea rather than 12 like most boats in Dalyan.

The boat has a full security radio system, full insurance for all guests, TPDK alcohol and ministry of tourism food serving licence. The boat has 220 volt electric supply complete with wifi, there is also a top of the range espresso coffee machine and a full kitchen with oven, so you can be assured of experiencing the very best of the captain`s seafood which will rival the very best fish restaurants and suit any connoisseurs.

Zeko 1 is captained by Captain Zeko, he is a local man who has spent majority of his life around the delta. He previously captained a sea yacht so also has his sea legs gaining years of experience out at sea with many multi-cultural guests . Zeko is a larger than life character, a big guy with a fascinating and captivating character. He is well travelled and has a story or two to tell and speaks excellent English. His knowledge of local life on the river and lake will challenge any other Captain in Dalyan. He literally lives and breathes life on the water, you could not be in better hands than spending a day with Zeko talking about life around the Delta, wildlife, culture, lifestyles, ecology, or you could even be talking about the economy and anything else that becomes a topic that day all whilst enjoying the local area whilst relaxing on his boat.

Zeko 1 is a 13m tall boat and is 4 metre wide so you will have plenty of room to relax. The boat is also licensed to go out to sea, it has a TPDK alcohol and ministry of tourism food license, it’s also fully insured for all guests, and has a full radio and security system. The boat is also in an enviable position of having wifi and is designed for our guests’ comfort. Spending the day with Zeko and his boat with be a first class experience and you will leave with a newfound friend.

As is always the case for us with Volkan’s trips, this was a lovely day out. It started well, with a delicious Turkish breakfast whilst cruising along the river and, as we progressed out to sea we were blessed with beautifully calm weather. We stopped at several little bays to swim and later were able to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the young captain’s mum. An afternoon swim was slightly interrupted by a bottle of Efes floating towards us on a tray – mine’s a Mojito next time please Volkan!
The company on board was great, as was the crew. The captain’s father even dived overboard to recover our friend’s sunglasses from the seabed., much to his relief. Volkan has the knack of mixing people well and makes sure that no- one feels like an outsider, whilst respecting their need for their own space. You never feel hurried or hassled on any of his trips and this one is no exception. A lovely way to spend a day!

I know from previous trips to Dalyan what a great reputation Volkan’s has. Having just booked and paid via Paypal, I just wanted to share what fantastic communication and super quick responses I received from Lisa. Rarely do you ever experience customer service this good. Thanks Lisa and I look forward to two wonderful trips in July.

I did this trip in september 2020.it was a delightful day. The breakfast was really good and lots of it. The captain and his mate were very nice, and nothing was to much. They were very nice. The swim stops were very nice and beautiful scenery. Lunch was very fresh and again lots of it. It was a very chilled day and I would highly recommend it.

Cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It’s an absolutely wonderful day out visiting stunning bays only accessible by boat. Swimming in the crystal clear turquoise sea whilst admiring the beautiful scenery around you, it’s just magical.
Complements to the captain and his wife for the outstanding quality of food provided for lunch.
Thank you team Volkan’s Adventures for another fantastic tour.
