This is a brand new evening Dalyan boat trip for 2023 and has been designed to live up to its name of Moonlight Serenity. Serene means calm, peaceful, placid and tranquil and, whilst all these words mean “quiet and free from disturbance,” serene stresses an unclouded and lofty tranquillity.

This afternoon to evening Dalyan boat trip includes visiting mesmerizing parts of Dalyan Delta and visiting beautiful and unspoiled bays of Koycegiz Lake., not frequented by regular tourist boats. You will find nature at its best: NO loud music, NO partying, NO ringing telephones and nothing that will disturb your beautiful surroundings. We will serve you a delicious open buffet dinner whilst you enjoy the serenity of the colourful sunset. Afterwards, as dusk turns to night, you can fully embrace the peace whilst lying on the top deck of our boat, drink in hand and gazing at the moonlit starry sky. It truly is a soul lifting and magical experience.

Itinerary:

Your trip will begin at our office at 15.45 pm from where we will walk the short distance to our fabulous boat in the harbour. We board at 16.00pm once all our guests have arrived. You will be greeted on board with a welcome drink, as well as light snacks to enjoy as we cruise through the scenic Dalyan Delta up to Koycegiz lake. At this time, we respectfully ask everyone to turn their mobile phones on silent so you can benefit fully from this peaceful and tranquil experience.

Relax and enjoy the journey on one of the many comfortable seats at the rear of the boat or on one of the sunbeds at the front. Once the boat is moored, the top deck is available for you to use – prepare for something amazing!

On our way to the lake, we will sail through the reedbeds and turn the engine off allowing you to listen to the beautiful birdsong all around you. The air is alive with the compendium of birds taking flight between the reeds and singing and tweeting a chorus.

Koycegiz lake

There may be many lakes in Turkey, and we can honestly say we’ve visited plenty, but Lake Köyceğiz is special. A different kind of special with mountains as backdrop, with its islands and Greek monasteries in it. The lake is fed by the Namnam and Yuvarlakçay rivers and a number of mountain brooks. In summer, the water temperature is so high, swimming at night feels like taking a leisurely bath.

For our first stop, we will take you to a beautiful little untouched bay at the top of the lake in the heart of Old Koycegiz Town, hidden away from hectic tourism but full of calm, nature and wildlife. Here, if you wish, you will be able to get off the boat and wade through the water to the shoreline, which is surrounded by nature and woodland. You of course can also take a swim here in the shallow waters.

Next, we head back out onto the lake and sail taking in the beautiful scenery and calm waters heading for our next swim stop in the lake. On our way, we will also sail around prison island (Hapishane), which is one of the 5 uninhabited islands in the lake and home to an old ruin that rises from the reed beds.

Our swim stop is another unknown tourist spot at the other side of the lake. This is a secluded little inlet where the waters are calm and perfect for swimming, all surrounded by pine forests stretching from the shore. This is an area of ultimate peace and tranquillity and you can even have a go at paddle boarding to the shoreline to take in the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Sunset Dinner

Once we have all cooled off in the lake water, we will head to one of our favourite spots nearby which is perfect for having dinner watching the sunset. We will give you a mouthwatering buffet dinner which consists of Chicken or Beef Saute  accompanied by homemade mezzes, breads, pastas, salad and rice. Vegetarian and vegan options, as well as other special diets or allergies, are all available if pre-ordered at the time of booking.

There’s nothing more peaceful than taking in the quiet beauty of a setting sun whilst enjoying dinner.  The sky changes from minute to minute. From orange yellow to flamboyant pink, the sky is painted with changing colours, as the sun sinks until it finally slips behind the line of the mountains spreading its last rays.

With full stomachs and peaceful minds, as dusk turns to night, we will start to see the breathtaking night sky on your evening Dalyan boat trip. The moon reflects on the lake on a dark cloudless night with a hundred or more tiny stars twinkling brightly above in an enchanting way. You can take in the beauty with a drink in your hand from our fully stocked bar full of fresh juices, coffees, ice cold beers, wines, spirits and other non-alcoholic beverages You may even want to try a Volkan’s Adventures speciality cocktail, so treat yourself – you’re on holiday!

Once we are all settled, we will head to our last destination sailing by the illuminated tombs to find the perfect location where the sky is untouched by light pollution to enable us to give you the very best stargazing experience. Here you will be able to swim in the moonlit waters under the starry sky, maybe with a drink on our floating bar, and truly let go of all those worries at one with the peace of your surroundings.

This evening boat trip combines the natural wonders that Dalyan has to offer and more. A wonderful evening where you will see pure natural beauty. You will leave this tour feeling you have relighted your spiritual soul and feel ready to take on the world, as well as creating wonderful memories and newfound friendships.

We will return to Dalyan at around 9.30/10.00 PM.

At Volkans Adventures if you’re a guest on one of our Dalyan Boat Tours you can be assured not only of an enchanting and comfortable experience, but also a safe and secure one.

We have our own exclusive boats with local and very experienced Captains who live and breathe the sea, they are both charismatic characters in their own right and who will ensure you have the best possible experience whilst on board.

Sari Zeybek boat is captained by Savaş, this boat was specially constructed by Savaş himself. He owns his own boatyard, Güven Yachting, right by the river opposite Dalyan Resort, which is also where his home is. Savaş is a local man and has spent his whole life sailing the river and sea, so his experience is second to none and you could not be in safer hands. Savaş also part owned a scuba diving school (Dalyan Dive Center) and has 16 years’ experience in diving. He also is a very experienced fisherman and his knowledge of the sea cannot be rivalled anywhere in Dalyan. All this knowledge about what goes on above and below sea level puts us in such a great position to give you the best ever adventure at sea. Savaş is very well travelled and speaks English and with his endearing character you will undoubtably find a newfound friend.

Sari Zeybek is a 14 metre long boat which is one of the longest in Dalyan and 4m wide which allows for plenty of room on board. The boat was originally a diving boat but has gone through a full renovation last year.  This boat and its captain Savaş are one of only a handful of boats in Dalyan that has a special open sea licence which means he can take the boat anywhere on the open sea including international waters. It also means that if necessary he is licenced to take 16 passengers out to sea rather than 12 like most boats in Dalyan.

The boat has a full security radio system, full insurance for all guests, TPDK alcohol and ministry of tourism food serving licence. The boat has 220 volt electric supply complete with wifi, there is also a top of the range espresso coffee machine and a full kitchen with oven.
