OVEN BAKED STUFFED VEGETABLES
Stuffed Vegetables (Dolma) is one of the most widely cooked and loved Turkish dish in Turkish home cooking. As it is the mothers day today in Turkey, with love and appreciation to all mothers around the world, we wanted to share the recipe of this delicious dish. Happy mothers day to all mothers 🙂
Ingredients;
1 medium zucchini
1 medium red bell pepper
1 medium yellow bell pepper
1 medium green bell pepper
1 medium tomato
For filling;
200 grams minced meat
1 onion
1 clove garlic
¾ cup bulgur
5-6 springs of parsley
5-6 springs of dill
1 table spoon tomato paste
1 table spoon red pepper paste
Salt
Pepper
Sumac
1 tea spoon pomegranate paste
2 table spoon olive oil
½ cup water
Sauce;
1 table spoon tomato paste
1 table spoon olive oil
1 pinch dried mint
2 cloves garlic
1 ½ cup water
Directions;
Cut zucchini in to two and carve inside ( you need to remove the seeds). Cut the top of the bell peppers and tomato ( you will be using these parts as a lid) again remove seeds and carve inside of the tomatoes.
Place minced meat in a mixing bowl; add finely chopped onions, garlic, parsley and dill and rest of the ingredients seasonings the n mix till combined.
Fill vegetables with minced meat mixture.
In a different bowl mix all the ingredients for the sauce.
Pour 4-5 table spoons of the sauce on your baking pan, place filled vegetables in the pan and pour rest of the sauce on top. Bake in 190 degree preheated oven for an hour with a lid on top.
