Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Standard Cancellations (General Situations)
If you choose to cancel your tour for personal reasons, the following refund schedule applies:
21 Days or More Notice: You are entitled to a Full Refund.
10 to 20 Days Notice: You are entitled to a 50% Refund.
Less than 10 Days Notice / No-Show: No refund will be issued.
Processing Times: Approved refunds are typically returned to your original payment method (PayPal, Credit Card, or Direct Debit) within 7–14 days.
2. Force Majeure (Acts of God & War)
A “Force Majeure” event is any major situation beyond our control that makes the tour impossible or unsafe to operate. This includes, but is not limited to:
Acts of God: Floods, earthquakes, wildfires, or other natural disasters.
Acts of War: Outbreak of hostilities, invasion, armed conflict, or civil war (declared or undeclared), including the sudden escalation of regional conflicts.
Governmental Action: Airspace closures, border lockdowns, or official “Do Not Travel” advisories.
In the event of a Force Majeure cancellation (by either Volkan’s Adventures or the Traveler):
Lifetime Credit: We will issue a Travel Credit for 100% of your payment. This credit never expires and can be used for any future tour.
Refund Requests: If you prefer a cash refund over a credit during a Force Majeure event, a 12-month waiting period applies from the date of the cancellation before the refund is processed. This allows us to recover funds committed to our local partners and boat captains.
3. Gift Vouchers & Raffle Tickets
Gift vouchers and raffle tickets are generally non-refundable. For extraordinary cases, we will review requests individually. Due to currency fluctuations, refunds for these items may take up to 90 days.
