Imagine stepping on board to find a beautifully prepared Mediterranean grazing table already waiting for you. Generous platters of local cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, pastries and little treats are laid out from the moment you arrive, ready to enjoy throughout the evening. With a freshly made cocktail in hand, delicious food to graze on, and good company all around—this is quite simply one of the most magical nights of the summer.

Once darkness settles, we anchor in the middle of the lake, enjoy cold drinks and a rich Mediterranean feast, float or swim if you wish, and spend a warm summer night watching the Perseid meteor shower together.

While meteors can be spotted throughout August, the shower reaches its peak on the nights of 12 & 13 August. We’ve chosen these two specific dates because they bring a rare, moonless sky—giving us pitch-black viewing conditions where astronomers predict up to 100 shooting stars per hour.

By night, Lake Köyceğiz becomes something truly special—dark, still, and wonderfully clear. Far from the town lights, Volkan will be there throughout the evening—mixing signature cocktails behind the bar, sharing stories about the night sky, and making sure everyone feels right at home.

Why We Created This Evening

“I’ve spent many nights on Lake Köyceğiz watching the Perseids, and I’ve honestly never been more excited than I am this year. Usually, the moon washes out the fainter shooting stars. This August, with zero moonlight and dark skies, it feels like winning the natural lottery. We expect to see up to 100 meteors an hour. We simply had to create an extraordinary, unhurried experience for these two nights.” Volkan

Every summer, so many of us look up hoping to catch a shooting star. We wanted to share a calmer, more comfortable way to enjoy it together—away from busy roadside spots or crowded beaches.

Just good friends, an open lake, cold drinks, great food, and a warm night that reminds you how lovely it is to simply slow down and look up.

What Makes This Night Special

• Timed for Nature’s Perfect Window: We’ve chosen the two nights when the Perseids reach their annual peak under beautifully dark, moonless skies.

• An Abundant Artisanal Grazing Table: A bountiful spread inspired by fine wine-tasting concepts—featuring local cheeses, cured meats, warm pastries, fresh fruits, nuts, and handcrafted mezes, laid out from the moment you step on board.

• A Warm, Unhurried Vibe: Once we anchor, lights are dimmed, music stops, and the night sky takes centre stage.

• Hosted by Volkan: Volkan will be mixing fresh cocktails, pointing out constellations, and making sure everyone feels relaxed and looked after.

• Signature Cocktails & Full Bar: Freshly made Margaritas and Mojitos prepared on board by Volkan, alongside our fully stocked bar (available to purchase throughout the evening).

• Floating Tables & Starlit Swim: Step into the warm lake waters, relax on our SUP boards, or gather around our floating water tables under the stars.

• Late-Night Homemade Cheesecake: Enjoy homemade cheesecake and fresh seasonal fruits as we gently sail back toward the harbour.

Itinerary ️

• 20:50 | Meet at Volkan’s Adventures Office (Gülpınar Avenue) Gather at our central office for a short, relaxed walk down to the boat together.

• 21:00 | Setting Sail & Welcome Drinks: We head out onto the quiet waters as twilight settles. The abundant grazing table is served, Volkan begins mixing welcome cocktails, ambient music plays softly, and Lake Köyceğiz unfolds around us.

• 22:00 – 00:00 | Stargazing, Floating & Swimming We anchor in our quiet spot on the lake. Lights are dimmed, music ceases, and the sky takes centre stage. Lie back on the deck, float on the SUP boards, take a midnight swim, or sip a fresh cocktail.

• 01:00 | Return to Harbour Sailing back gently while fresh homemade cheesecake and fruit are served, returning you relaxed, happy, and full of great memories.

Good to Know & What to Bring

• What to Bring: Swimwear and a towel if you fancy a swim, and binoculars if you like a closer view of the stars.

• Comfort on the Lake: We anchor far out on the open lake in spots chosen specifically for calm waters and gentle evening breezes.

• Light Etiquette: To help everyone’s eyes adjust naturally to the dark sky, we kindly ask guests to keep phone screens and camera flashes to a minimum once anchored.

• Weather & Our Promise: We pick these dates for optimal dark skies. Meteor activity naturally varies across the evening, which is all part of the natural experience. However, if complete cloud cover or bad weather stops us from stargazing, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
