Devils’ Bays Dalyan boat trip gives you something different, something truly special. We start our day with a welcome drink and a few nibbles, aboard our newly renovated two deck boat whilst meandering along the Dalyan Delta, The Labyrinth Created by Reed Islets. Relax during an hour’s ride on the Aegean before reaching one of many secluded bays and coves around Devils Bay. Swim, sunbathe and enjoy a traditional Turkish BBQ lunch.
We will meet at our office at 08.45am and take a short stroll to the boat. A welcome drink will be waiting for you. Whilst enjoying your drink and a pastry or two, the boat will meander along the scenic Dalyan Delta heading towards the sea. There is plenty of space with shaded and sunny areas for everyone. We will pass the magnificent Rock Tombs, Caunos and the beautiful reed beds, just a few of the stunning attractions that the town has to offer.
Once out at sea, we will cruise along the Aegean coastline providing the ideal chance for sunbathing, relaxing and making new friends, before reaching one of many secluded, picturesque coves.
TIP: World’s leading travel channel Matador Network produced a short movie showcasing Turkey last summer. We are proud to say that they have chosen Volkan’s Adventures to show them the best of our area. You can watch the video and footage from the Devils Bays Dalyan here.
Secluded Coves of Devils Bays Dalyan
Our first stop will be at Bozburun Bay where you can swim in the beautiful clear waters. Bozburun Bay is renowned for the deep blue colour of the Aegean. Secondly, we then head onto Devils Bays with its multiple coves and turquoise and azure bays. There are plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel, paddleboard, beach comb and sunbathe.
When we reach our third destination, a delicious traditional Turkish BBQ lunch cooked and prepared on board will be served. You can choose from chicken shish and kofte /meatballs, a huge range of fresh meze, salads and bread. Vegetarian options will be available on prior request and we can of course cater to all dietary requirements.
If the weather allows we will venture further afield after lunch, but if not, we will bring you closer inland to Bacardi Bay. Here you can enjoy more swimming, relaxing and sunbathing for the rest of your day before we head back up the river, aiming to arrive back to Dalyan for approximately 4pm.
- Please note, as this tour goes out into the open sea we must be guided by our Captain should weather conditions prove inclement. We will make every effort to reach our destinations but the safety of our guests is of paramount importance to us. Should it become apparent as we head towards the open waters that our Captain is not comfortable with the sea conditions then your guide will discuss all alternative options available with the group.
Tour Reviews
As is always the case for us with Volkan’s trips, this was a lovely day out. It started well, with a delicious Turkish breakfast whilst cruising along the river and, as we progressed out to sea we were blessed with beautifully calm weather. We stopped at several little bays to swim and later were able to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the young captain’s mum. An afternoon swim was slightly interrupted by a bottle of Efes floating towards us on a tray – mine’s a Mojito next time please Volkan!
The company on board was great, as was the crew. The captain’s father even dived overboard to recover our friend’s sunglasses from the seabed., much to his relief. Volkan has the knack of mixing people well and makes sure that no- one feels like an outsider, whilst respecting their need for their own space. You never feel hurried or hassled on any of his trips and this one is no exception. A lovely way to spend a day!
I know from previous trips to Dalyan what a great reputation Volkan’s has. Having just booked and paid via Paypal, I just wanted to share what fantastic communication and super quick responses I received from Lisa. Rarely do you ever experience customer service this good. Thanks Lisa and I look forward to two wonderful trips in July.
This was a lovely boat trip which visited some lovely bays for great swimming. The food was excellent as is always the case with Volkan’s trips and again as usual the staff all very friendly and helpful. A lovely day.
I did this trip in september 2020.it was a delightful day. The breakfast was really good and lots of it. The captain and his mate were very nice, and nothing was to much. They were very nice. The swim stops were very nice and beautiful scenery. Lunch was very fresh and again lots of it. It was a very chilled day and I would highly recommend it.
Cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It’s an absolutely wonderful day out visiting stunning bays only accessible by boat. Swimming in the crystal clear turquoise sea whilst admiring the beautiful scenery around you, it’s just magical.
Complements to the captain and his wife for the outstanding quality of food provided for lunch.
Thank you team Volkan’s Adventures for another fantastic tour.
I did the Devil’s bay boat trip in June 2022. It was brilliant. The boat is gorgeous and the Captain and his wife are a great team. We had the pleasure of Volkans mum as our guide, she was lovely. Food was brilliant. I loved all the swim stops.
