Kara Mehmet Bay Boat Trip

Kara Mehmet Bay is a new tour for 2023. Going beyond our usual routes, this tour makes for a spectacular day out at sea taking in the impressive coastline and sailing on the breathtaking blue sea to beautiful unspoiled turquoise blue bays.

Your day will begin at our office at 09.45 from where we will take a short walk to our exceptional quality boat. Because we only take small groups, there will be plenty of space onboard your spectacular boat trip.

After settling on board with our welcome drink, we will travel down the river through the Dalyan Delta. Sit back and watch the scenery glide past: the Dalyan promenade, the ancient Rock Tombs and then on into the reed beds. Keep your eyes peeled for wild life in this unique ecosystem – you may see egrets, marsh harriers, king fishers, western rock nuthatches, short-toed snake eagles and many other bird species as well as Loggerhead Turtles on Kara Mehmet Bay tour.

Once we leave the river, we will follow the rugged coastline out to sea. We will go past all the usual tourist boats moored in the popular locations and head to our first stop. Whilst we take in the beautiful scenery you can relax on board on one of our top deck sunbeds, maybe with a drink in your hand and feeling the breeze in your hair or chatting to your fellow guests.

Our first stop on your Kara Mehmet Bay tour will be at Deve Dosu, a rock formation beyond Semizce. We will moor here for a swim stop – a perfect location for snorkelling as the water is crystal clear. You can even have a go at paddle boarding (if you are energetic or brave enough) with our onboard paddle board!

Leaving there, we sail to our beautiful lunch stop at Kara Mehmet Bay. This is a naturally stunning area with a beach that doesn’t have a tourist in sight! We will moor close to the beach so even non-swimmers can enjoy the shallow warm waters too. You will be able to swim, snorkel or paddle board Alternatively, you can wade onto the beach or just sit back and chat with your fellow guests. You can even enjoy a tipple in the water on our floating bar, all whilst our captain prepares the BBQ lunch. We also have swimming aids on board for non-swimmers.

Chicken Shish, & Kofte (meatballs) will be freshly cooked on the onboard BBQ and vegetarian or vegan options are available too, if requested at the time of booking. All dietary requirements can be catered for. Besides the BBQ, there will also be salads, breads and a wide variety of home cooked traditional mezzes. All the food will be freshly made and there will be plenty to go around. Cold alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks will be available from the bar.

After lunch on your Kara Mehmet Bay tour, we will continue to visit the furthest and most stunning unknown bays that are charismatic and simply perfect for a relaxing day out at sea.

Once everyone is back onboard after our last stop, we will begin our journey back towards Dalyan. Everyone can enjoy relaxing in the afternoon sun (or shade!), maybe chatting to new friends or snoozing on a comfortable sunbed. Snacks and fruit will be available to nibble on.

Finally heading back into the river, we will travel along the reed beds before reaching the harbour at 17.00, tanned, relaxed and full of summer memories from our Kara Mehmet Bay Boat Trip.
